New Nemar and Yamaha Revzone Power their Business with the Sun

In WeGen's first four years, the company has already made headway in our efforts to prove our efficient and expert capability to provide for the solar power technology needs of various clients, both big and small.

Majority of WeGen Energy’s completed installation projects are under the category of Laudato Si’, but we are also making headway in securing various residential and commercial clients! Among WeGen's commercial projects is the 27 kWp solar PV system for New Nemar Development Corp CMY in CM Recto, Lipa City in Batangas. The company sells multi-brand motorcycles, and it’s one of the top motorcycle dealers in the Southern Tagalog region with branches in Mindoro, Laguna, Gumaca and Cavite.

Because of its decision to go solar by working with WeGen Energy, New Nemar is now able to mitigate 495 tons of carbon dioxide emissions. The solar installation will produce a total of 857,790 kilowatt hours of clean, safe, and affordable electricity for 25 years.

Apart from making the transition to solar energy, New Nemar also has other efforts of caring for people and the environment that make it a good partner for WeGen Energy: It has a corporate social responsibility program called “Nemar Cares.” New Nemar supports the Cancer Warriors Foundation, an organization that helps children beat cancer. For every motorcycle unit sold, the company gives a certain portion to the foundation.

New Nemar also sponsors outreach programs for indigent and the street children. When it comes to helping the environment, New Nemar has long stopped using plastic bags for packaging the spare parts and other products it sells in its stores. It also implements a paperless office policy: the staff has access to e-mails, and reports are uploaded or sent for viewing using digital means.

New Nemar’s sister company New Nemar Development Corp Revzone in Marawoy, Lipa City in Batangas, is also running on solar power via WeGen Energy. In 2019, we installed a 35.34 kWp solar PV system on their building’s roof. This will result in the mitigation of 742 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions over the next 25 years. This is equivalent to 259 tons of waste recycled instead of landfilled; 368 tons of coal-burning avoided, and 1,718 barrels of oil consumption avoided. Imagine – all that mitigated by just one building that’s been solarized! #
